Greenbugz is a blog with two things in mind. First, to inspire change for our environment while becoming more involved-and second, a tool for other like-minded individuals to connect and share in the green movement.
If you have been following the news for the last year, you may have noticed that at least once during the broadcast, a story was reported about the environment. Topics range from global warming to energy efficiency, to new “green” collar jobs. The green movement will be the most significant change in the 21st century. There is an estimated 6 trillion dollar industry that will emerge as a green economy from eco-friendly practices in private and public sectors. Simply put, green collar jobs are blue collar jobs in green businesses-that is, manual labor jobs in businesses whose products or services directly improve environment quality. What unites these jobs is that they all are all associated with local labor efforts and products that enhance health and well-being of our environment while promoting neighborhood businesses.
Greenbugz realizes that everyday citizens and communities will be the front runner long before big businesses go green. This is a chance for small businesses to take a step and appeal to the growing number of green consumers. This is how greenbugz comes into play.
